About Chiropractic and Body Work

Chiropractic care from a holistic perspective focuses on how the spine, soft tissue and nervous system work together to support the body’s overall health and function. Rather than only addressing pain in one area, we look at the patterns of the body.

These include biomechanics/movement, posture, soft tissue, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to discomfort or imbalance. The goal is to bring ease to the body and to improve whole-body function.

Low Force Adjusting

While we use traditional techniques when needed, we often use specific, gentle adjustments with minimal to no force. These lighter techniques are embraced by those apprehensive about traditional adjustments, children, and those preferring a lighter touch.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM)

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), rooted in Gua Sha therapy, stimulates a controlled healing response in soft tissue. It helps improve mobility, addresses fascial adhesions, and supports proper tissue repair for better joint function.

Trigger Point & Active Release

Targets tight, irritated areas to reduce muscle tension and ease pain. Trigger point therapy releases tender “knots,” while Active Release uses precise movement to break up adhesions. Great for stiffness, overuse injuries, and chronic discomfort.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

NET is a highly effective mind-body technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. It serves as an excellent tool that can help improve many behavioral and physical patterns.

Total Body Modification (TBM)

An ancillary form of bodywork used to assess the “functional” physiology of the body. TBM uses “test points” while challenging routine muscle actions to determine positive or negative effects, sharing similarities with meridian-based bodywork.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions. EFT (Tapping) stimulates certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with fingertips while redirecting thoughts, clearing disruptions in the body’s energy.

Whole Food Concentrates & Supplementation

Standard Process supplements are often ideal for a holistic patient because they are made from whole food concentrates designed to support the body’s natural processes and overall wellness, rather than simply addressing isolated symptoms.

This whole food–based philosophy aligns well with holistic care by emphasizing balance, nutrition, and whole-body support.

Soil to Supplement Approach

Standard Process takes a distinctive approach, growing the great majority of its raw plant ingredients on its own certified organic farm, where no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides are used, manufacturing its products in ways intended to help preserve whole food nutrients.

Additionally, chiropractic can help pregnant women endure the drastic changes and demands that they are faced with over the time of their pregnancy, as well as help them re-establish proper alignment following childbirth.

What Our Patients Are Saying

Chiropractic care for the whole family

"I can’t say enough great things about both Dr. Tom and Dr. Laura. This practice is extraordinary! We have done Neurofeedback for both our kids, now 11 and 13, for the past 2 years. It has been a game changer for focus, mood, anxiety, sleep, and sports performance. I, as a mom in peri-menopause did Neurofeedback for sleep, brain fog, mood, and headaches. Neurofeedback was a game changer for me as well! We have all seen Dr. Laura for any body ailments, such as neck and should tension, pain in the lower back, ear infections, headaches, and muscle aches and pains. She has fixed it all! Dr. Laura is incredibly knowledgeable and cares deeply for her patients."

Dr. Tom Woodman was very detailed in explaining every aspect of what neurofeedback is, and how it works. Dr. Laura Pardue gave me regular chiropractic adjustments along with my neurofeedback therapy which helped my body heal itself. She is so kind and has such a warm spirit about her, you cannot help but just want to keep talking with her. She makes you feel welcomed and supported all the way through."
